I was never supposed to be here — at least that’s what the doctors told my parents. But surprise! I showed up anyway. My mom was 43, my dad was 45. My parents adopted my 2 sisters, so they already had a place in the family. I grew up in Cornwall, Ontario, playing outside until the streetlights came on, building cabins in the woods, and dressing up my Barbies.
My parents were my heroes. My mother, even though she had health struggles, always showed up for her family. She made me feel seen, even when I was shy and quiet. My childhood home and camping trips were my happy places.
I met Shawn in college. He made me laugh right away, and we’ve been laughing together ever since. We married young, traveled, built a life, and made choices that gave us freedom. One of the biggest ones was selling our big house and moving into a smaller bungalow. That shift changed everything. It gave us space to actually live — not just work to pay bills.
Real estate came into my life at a crossroads. I wanted more than a desk job. I wanted to help people. So, I jumped in. Over the years, I’ve learned to stop shrinking to make others comfortable. I set boundaries, spoke up, and built a business that reflects who I really am.
My work isn’t just about selling homes. It’s about helping people downsize so they can live bigger — with more joy, freedom, and time for what matters most.
I want to be remembered as the person who made people feel seen, heard, and cared for. The one who was real, kind, a little sarcastic, and always up for an adventure.
